State unemployment rate rises

The Missouri state unemployment rate rises to 5.4% in October, up from 4.8% only a month before. Causes are said to be layoffs in the automobile industry as well as a decrease in jobs in manufacturing sectors.

November 10th, Texas and Greene County Sheriffs, the Missouri Highway Patrol and federal agents confiscated four Smart Cars (small vehicles from France that get 70 to 85 mpg) for being imported into the country illegally.
